Yes, that was the year I started my journey as a fashion blogger. Back to 2010, back to the era when blogging felt so pure, so personal and so magical.
Masa dimana blogging bukan sekadar "content writer" or "content creation", tapi benar-benar tentang pasion, self-expression dan heart. It wasn't about algorithms, or engagement rates. It was about expression, it was about stories, it was about being unapologetically YOU. and honestly... that's what I miss the most.
The Rawness and Authenticity
Dulu, blogging itu rasanya seperti punya diary online. No pressure and No perfection. Seperti curhat sama teman saja. Mau nulis panjang, mau nulis pendek atau hanya post foto foto saja.
Sekarang? Everything feels curated. Beautiful, yes. But sometimes... less soulful. Back then, setiap blog punya "jiwa". You could feel the person behind the screen.
My Fashion Blogger Inspirations Back Then
One of them was Diana Rikasari with her iconic blog Hot Chocolate & Mint.
Her style? Oh, so cheerful and colorful! She wasn't afraid of mixing patterns, playing with bold colors and being different. I Admired how she turned fashion into something playful and expressive.
She also loved DIY and upcyycling, dan aku benar-benar terinspirasi dari situ. I remember following her tutorials, cutting, sewing and transforming old clothes at home into something "new". It felt empowering and felt creative.
Fashion Blogger number two is Clara Devi from Lucedaleco. If Diana was bold and colorful, Clara was the opposite side of beauty, vintage, elegant and girly dan jujur, Clara's style was so me.
From Blogging to Building a Brand
Today, they are still actively sharinng, baik di blog maupun di Instagram. Not only that, mereka juga berhasil membangun fashion brand mereka sendiri dan yang paling penting, brand tersebut sangat "mereka banget".
It reflects their DNA, their journey and their authenticity. As a muslimahpreneur, running my own business, I find this deeply inspiring. Because at the end of the day, bisnis yang kuat adalah bisnis yang punya cerita.
Blogging Taught Me More Than I Realized
Honestly, blogging shapped who I am today. Dari menulis blog, aku belajar storytelling, consistency dan how to connect with people on a deeper level. It wasn't just about fashion anymore. It became about life.
Even now, di tengah dunia yang serba digital dan cepat, I still hold onto that blogging spirit. Menulis dengan hati dan sharing dengan tulus.
Why I Still Believe in Bloging?
Meskipun sekarang banyak platform baru bermunculan, I still believe blogging has its own magic. Blog adalah "rumah" kita, tempat di mana kita bisa bercerita tanpa batas, tanpa tekanan dan mungkin yang paling aku rindukan adalah perasaan itu, when writing felt like therapy, not strategy.
Now, I still write in my personal blog, cilyainwonderland.id, sharing my daily stories, about travel, fashion, beauty, business and life as a muslimahpreneur.
But I also created something since 2020: yumnamagz.id, an online magazine platform where I share articles about fashion, beauty and business.
This is my way growing. From personal storytelling... to creating a space for wider impact.
My Hope Moving Forward
Semoga dari tulisan-tulisan kecilku, dari perjalanan yang aku bagikan, dan dari brand yang aku bangun, I can inspire others. Just like Diana Rikasari and Clara Devi inspired me back then.
Because sometimes, you never know tthat your story, your blog and your small post. Might be the beginig of someone else's dream.
Blogging mungkin sudah banyak berubah. Platform datang dan pergi. Trends evolve. But one thing remains the same: Stories will always matter.
Because at the end of the day, this is not just about fashion. This is about leaving a piece of ourselves in every word we write.
